Volunteers from AfriForum Springs, ProSafe, Move One Million, Springs police, Laerskool PAM Brink, Springs CPF and ordinary residents came together to clean up Geduld on Saturday morning.

They focused on the areas near the school and Rus ’n Bietjie Old Age Home.
The area was filled with overgrown grass, rubbish and drug paraphernalia.
AfriForum chairperson Cornel Swart said the clean-up started mid-week, where they hired tractors to cut the grass, and forms part of its ongoing campaign to clean up Springs.

More than 300 people turned up on Saturday morning, with young and old joining hands to make the area more livable.
Amanda Greybe from the Springs SAPS said the area, before the clean-up, was not safe for senior citizens and children.
