Three arrested for fraud and possession of stolen property

The SAPS Crime Prevention Unit received information about suspected stolen goods at an address along Nagnel Street.

Two women and a man were arrested in Daggafontein on Thursday afternoon on charges of fraud and possession of stolen property.

A search of the premises yielded oil, welding rods and other items.

Further investigations revealed the goods have been bought fraudulently from a supplier using fake invoices.
The value of the stolen property is approximately R1.5-million.
The arrested trio, aged 28, 51 and 71, was detained at the Springs Police Station and will appear in court soon.
Springs SAPS station commander Brig Thembeka Gwebushe applauded the police members involved for their swift response in arresting the perpetrators.
