A 25-year-old man was fatally stabbed allegedly by his girlfriend in Klopper Street, Geduld, on Sunday evening.
A witness told police the couple, who were both reportedly under the influence of alcohol, were arguing when the man started assaulting the 20-year-old woman.

She then allegedly defended herself and took a kitchen knife and stabbed him once on the left side of his chest, after which he collapsed.
The witness and the man’s girlfriend took him to the Far East Rand Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The police later arrested the girlfriend.
