A case of attempted murder has been opened at the Springs Police Station after a 43-year-old woman was shot in the leg on Thursday evening at Louis Mansion on Second Avenue.
Neighbours told police they heard a woman screaming, followed by the sound of a gun going off around 8pm.

When neighbours went to investigate, they found the victim on the ground floor of the flats.
She was taken to a medical facility for treatment.
The motive for the shooting is unknown and no arrests have been made.
