Residents of the Molendam complex for the elderly feel they have been ignored by the City of Ekurhuleni and their concerns have fallen on deaf ears.
A concerned senior writes:
Our senior citizens have been living in darkness for months as our street lights have been out of order.
They are on the same circuit as our complex and it has been reported.

We also have a burst fire hydrant pipe that has been spilling an alarming amount of water over the months inside the complex.
This too has been reported.
We ask Ekurhuleni to please turn off the water supply to the fire hydrant pipe next to the bulk water on the paving outside the complex.

We are asking for your kind assistance to follow up on our desperate situation for it to be resolved.
