A local dentist was shot three times in Sidi Rezegh Street in Pollak Park last Friday afternoon.
Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora said the dentist was in the car with his secretary when a grey Toyota Tazz forced them off the road.
A gunman alighted the Tazz and fired three shots at the victim before fleeing.

The dentist was rushed to a local private hospital and a case of attempted murder was opened at the Springs Police Station.
The motive for the shooting was unknown at the time of publication.
