A 47-year-old man was left with injuries to his face after he was assaulted during a robbery at his home in Slovo Park last Saturday morning.
The victim told police he arrived home at approximately 2.30am and got into bed.
He was awakened by the sounds of someone trying to open the door.

The victim got up and asked who was at the door but the person on the other side pushed the door open and five men entered.
The men assaulted the victim before taking his cellphone, a pair of shoes and R90, before fleeing the scene.
The victim was taken to the Far East Rand Hospital for medical treatment.
