Armed gang strikes at Nuffield business

A businessman and his employees miraculously escaped injury after they were shot at during a robbery at a business in Nuffield last Friday evening.
Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora said the businessman and four of his employees were inside the premises, near the gate, when six men armed with guns burst in and started shooting at them.

They were ordered to lie down and were searched.
The robbers took three cellphones, a speedpoint machine, a wallet, R15 000 and a dark blue Mercedes-Benz Vito.
The total value of the stolen items is approximately R809 300.
Police found three 9mm cartridges on the scene.
No arrests have been made.
