Springs police have urged residents to lock their valuables away.
This follows a spike in the number of house robberies in Springs over the past few weeks.

“Don’t leave things like bicycles, garden tools or household appliances where they can be seen by people walking past your house. Leaving them in plain sight attracts the wrong kind of attention,” said Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.
