Three members of the Equestrian Unit from the EMPD recovered a stolen bakkie on Sunday morning.
According to EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng, the officers were on their way to work when they came across an abandoned bakkie on Welgedacht Road.

The vehicle’s licence disc was checked and officers discovered it had recently been stolen during a hijacking in Kempton Park.
A cellphone had also been stolen during the incident.
The recovered vehicle was taken to the Van Ryn Deep Vehicle Pound in Benoni.
