Robbery at a jewellery store in Springs Mall
Robbers flee with undisclosed amount of jewellery
The NWJ jewellery store at the Springs Mall was robbed just after 11am on Sunday.
Amorèt D’Arrigo, marketing manager for the Springs Mall, said according to details, three robbers held up employees of the store before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of jewellery and a cellphone.
The robbers then got into a vehicle and fled the scene.

They were immediately followed by the mall’s tactical response team and shots were fired.
“It is unclear whether the robbers sustained injuries.
“SAPS responded quickly and we are giving their investigation our full support, including state-of-the-art security camera footage.

“We would like to assure our shoppers that their safety is our utmost priority.
“Thank you to our tactical response team and security for their immediate and professional response,” said D’Arrigo.
There were no injuries reported.
