Springs Clinic accused of not following Covid-19 protocols

Employees at the Springs Clinic have accused management of disregarding Covid-19 protocols.

Staff members, who fear for their lives, have alleged the clinic was not closed for decontamination after a colleague tested positive for Covid-19.

“She was coming to work until she received her results.

“The people she was in contact with are still at work and now we are in contact with them.

“We are concerned for our own health and we are afraid because we are in contact with patients every day.

“Why did they not deep-clean the facility?” asked the employee, who asked to remain anonymous.

When the Addie visited the clinic last week Tuesday, it was business as usual.

The clinic was eventually closed.

The employees claim they spoke to management about their concerns, but were told to keep coming to work until they received their test results.

“We have sanitisers at the entrance and are maintaining social distancing and serving patients, but this is really worrying for us,” says the employee.
