Two men died in Gugulethu informal settlement last Sunday, one of them being a victim of mob justice.
This is according to Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.According to police, the two men were arguing when the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed Johannes Sithole twice.
The victim was certified dead by paramedics on the scene.

The knife used in the murder was found on the scene and police booked it in as part of their investigation.
The suspect was assaulted by a crowd of people following the murder.
He was taken to Far East Rand Hospital by ambulance where he later died due to the severity of his injuries.

“We appreciate the help of the community in apprehending suspects, however, we urge them not to take the law into their own hands.
“The victim’s family will now not get the justice they deserve nor will they get the answers they need as to why the argument started in the first place,” says Ramphora.
