Springs SAPS Vispol, sector managers and social crime prevention conducted an operation of illegal mining in the Daggafontein precinct from 10am until 2pm last Friday.
The operation was led by operational commander Lt Col Rajesh Ramlall and Capt Jan Nel.
The operation yielded good results, with three generators, two piks and one shovel included in the items confiscated.

Acting Springs SAPS station commander Col Karen Stoltz applauded the members for their enthusiasm and dedication for their commitment to prevent the recurrence of crime in Springs.
