Taxi owner gunned down in public

Taxi owner shot in broad day light in Tsakane.

A 32-year-old man died after being shot in his car on Thursday.

The man, reported to be a taxi owner, was sitting alone inside his car at Tsakane Mall when the attack took place.
It is alleged that two men armed with pistols approached his vehicle.
According to Capt Mavela Masondo, the Gauteng SAPS provincial spokesperson, “without any hesitation they started to shoot through the back windscreen several times.”
He says the suspects then jumped into a silver grey Nissan, with two more suspects inside, and left.
An ambulance was called and the victim was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A case of murder has been opened for investigation.
The motive for the attack unknown and no suspects have been arrested.
