Four suspects robbed a couple on the N12 Etwatwa off-ramp after they stopped to relieve themselves.
The couple were in their new car and had just stopped by the off-ramp when they noticed people coming from the other direction.
Two of them were armed with pangas while the other had guns.

Two of the suspects came to the woman’s side while another two went to the husband’s side.
The husband handed over the car keys to them before running away from the scene.
Two of the suspects chased after him while the others remained with her.

The suspects searched the car and took her handbag with her cellphones.
They then dragged her to the veld about 500m away, where she was raped.
