Addie staff in the kitchen: Double-deck peppermint crisp tart

Try this peppermint crisp tart with a twist. Enough for the whole family. Fellow Springsite Mariska van der Merwe helped us with the making of this delicious tart.

STEP 1: Gather all your ingredients.

Ingredients:

• Two cans of caramel treat (You also get the peppermint flavoured one which we thought we’d try out)

• Two packs of tennis biscuits

• 2 x 250 fresh cream

• 3 to 4 bars of peppermint crisp chocolate

(If you don’t want the tart too big, you can make it single)

Method:

STEP 2: Pack the tennis biscuits at the bottom and sides of a square or rectangular dish.

STEP 3: Whip 250ml cream in a bowl until firm.

STEP 4: Add one can of caramel and mix well.

It should look like this after. Repeat steps 3 and 4 in a different bowl, if you choose to add peppermint caramel as well.

Step 5: Spoon mixture onto biscuits.

STEP 6: Spread evenly.

STEP 7: Grate about half of your peppermint crisp chocolate over mixture.

STEP 9: Pack another layer of tennis biscuits (sadly, we lost two crucial biscuits and were forced to sample them for freshness).

STEP 10: Repeats steps 5 to 7.

STEP 11: If you have any chocolate left, crumble over the top. Put in the refrigerator for two to three hours before serving.

STEP 12: Voila! Eat and enjoy… and eat again.
