Donors hand out food parcels

The donors, together with the Springs Police and Barend van Heerden and Herman Marais of the Springs CPF went to Jacob's Farm, Everest, Holfontein, Daggafontein, Skoonplaas, KwaZenzele, Reedville and N17 to hand out 250 food parcels.

Anonymous donors returned to Springs on Saturday to hand out food parcels.

The donors together with the Springs Police and Barend van Heerden and Herman Marais of the Springs CPF went to Jacob’s Farm, Everest, Holfontein, Daggafontein, Skoonplaas, KwaZenzele, Reedville and N17 to hand out 250 food parcels.

This is the second time the group of donors have been in Springs to hand out food parcels.

The group handed out 250 parcels in Never-Never and Hollywood informal settlements last Saturday.

The children at Jacob’s Farm were delighted with their party packs.

Station Commander Brigadier Thembeka Gwebushe was very appreciate of the work done by the donors and the Springs Police who also contributed to the handout.

“You have shown ubuntu and compassion for the community of Springs. As the police, we could not have done it without you,” says Gwebushe.

Alongside the food parcels, the children were also given party packs filled with snacks for them to enjoy.
