Three robbers hit Selection Park tuck shop

While the shop owner was printing the airtime slip, the suspect pulled out a gun, pointed it at the shop owner and told him it was a robbery.

A Selection Park tuck shop was robbed by three suspects last Wednesday afternoon.

Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says a customer walked into the shop and asked to buy airtime.

While the shop owner was printing the airtime slip, the suspect pulled out a gun, pointed it at the shop owner and told him it was a robbery.

A second suspect, also armed with a gun, then entered the shop, while the third suspect stood by the door.

The first suspect then jumped over the counter and took R7 000 cash from the till and three cellphones.

The robbers fled the shop on foot.
