A business on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Tenth Street is at their wits’ end regarding the illegal dumping in front of their business.

The corner is filled with rubbish ranging from plastic, bottles, glass and paper.

Jeanette Pieterse says they have tried everything to get the metro to do something about the problem.

“I’ve tried calling them and nobody answers.

“I’ve been to the waste department and was told an inspector would come out, but nobody pitched.

“The school children who stand here and wait for their transport after school are most at risk.

“This is a health hazard,” says Pieterse.
