Man tied up during house robbery

The suspects ransacked the house and took electrical appliances, clothes and food.

A man was tied up in his laundry room during a house robbery in Casseldale last Wednesday morning.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the man had just come home when he noticed a white Hyundai H1 truck parked in his driveway.

When he approached the car, the driver asked him for directions.

While he was speaking to the driver, another suspect suddenly appeared next to the victim, held him at gunpoint and instructed him to open the gate for the truck to drive in.

Once the suspects were inside the house, they took the victim to the laundry room, where he was tied up with cable ties.

The suspects ransacked the house and took electrical appliances, clothes and food.

The value of the stolen goods is currently unknown.
