Man hijacked near Aston Lake

The value of the car was approximately R80 000.

A man was hijacked near Aston Lake after he was pulled over last Wednesday evening.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the victim was driving on the N17, close to Aston Lake, when an Audi with blue lights on the roof forced him to pull over.

Once the victim parked on the side of the road, a man wearing a police uniform approached him and asked him if the car was stolen and if he had a gun.

After the victim replied to the suspect by saying no to both questions, the suspect ordered the man to get out of his car.

Four suspects suddenly got out of the Audi and jumped inside the victim’s car and drove off with the victim’s car, cellphone and wallet.

The value of the car was approximately R80 000.
