Shop loses goods worth R12 000 after robbery

The stolen goods were stuffed into a black bag that was also stolen from the shop.

A shop at The Avenues was robbed by seven suspects last Tuesday afternoon, says Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.

The suspects entered the shop and pretended to be customers for a while before two of them suddenly pulled out their guns and instructed the manager to open the safe.

Once the safe was open, the suspects took three cellphones which were still in their original packaging, approximately R12 000 from the till and the cellphones of everyone who was in the shop at the time.

The stolen goods were stuffed into a black bag that was also stolen from the shop.

Suspects fled the shop on foot before getting into a Toyota Corolla.
