Metro says Dersley water problems fixed

Metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe says the problems were caused by the settings on the telemetry.

Metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe says the problems were caused by the settings on the telemetry.

The pump was set to start pumping at 3m, where at this level it shows that it supplies water with low water pressure.

“The telemetry was adjusted to start the pump at 4.5m and since then we have not had similar problems.

“The last time it was experienced was on January 3,” says Gadebe.

Gadebe added the reservoir was in working order and there was a plan to construct more storage in the future.
