Springs Police are calling on eyewitnesses who saw an accident on Welgedacht Road on Monday morning between 6am and 7am.
Capt Johannes Ramphora says a man was found lying on the side of the road.

Those who called the police say he was hit by a car which fled the scene.
The victim is approximately 30 years old and is from Malawi.

Police have opened a case of culpable homicide, and are urging eyewitnesses to come forward.
