Patrons left unharmed after tavern robbery

Two suspects searched the customers and took six cellphones and their wallets.

A tavern is counting the costs after a business robbery on Saturday evening.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says three suspects, armed with guns, entered the tavern and instructed the owner and patrons to lie down.

The third suspect took R5 000 from the till.

The suspects also took a laptop valued at R4 000 and left with an unknown vehicle.

No shots were fired during the robbery and no injuries were reported.
