Man injured during Daggafontein house robbery

The man wrestled with the suspects and in the process broke a few pieces of his furniture like the radio, TV and table, which he used to attack the suspects.

A man was injured after he fought with suspected house robbers in Daggafontein last Saturday evening.

Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the complainant had just arrived home and drove through the open gate.

He got out of his car and left the gate open while he went to open the house door.

Suddenly somebody came from behind and hit him on the back of his head with an unknown object.

He was then pushed inside his house and there he noticed three suspects behind him.

The man wrestled with the suspects and in the process broke a few pieces of his furniture like the radio, TV and table, which he used to attack the suspects.

The complainant got a chance to run outside and screamed for help.

The one suspect then pointed his gun at the man before firing a shot and then ran away.

The complainant noticed a white car which picked up the suspects and drove away.

Nothing was taken by the suspects.
