Road construction in Reedville going strong

According to ward councillor Thulani Simelane, these roads will be called Moscew Lane and Havana Lane.

Plans for the new roads came after many residents asked the city for them.

Construction began in early October and the roads are expected to be completed by the end of November.

Resident Motangue Pule says: “People have been asking for the roads to be tarred for a long time now and I’m glad they have finally listened to us.

“Now that the road is tarred it will be easier for motorists to get to the places they want to.”

Project manager Muzi Sithole says: “We are doing quite well. We are ahead of schedule and we haven’t run into any problems yet.”

Simelane says that the construction of the roads will make it easier for people to access their properties and is creating temporary employment.
