“We are always looking for ways to make a difference.

“Animals are close to our hearts, and we did a similar thing for the Bethlehem SPCA at the beginning of this month.

“We know the money will be utilised well,” says Chantel Fourie, Ms Busa 2019 and one of the co-coordinators of the event.

The riders say they will continue to help where they can.

Speaking on behalf of the SPCA on Saturday was Debbie Miller, who says they are very grateful for the help as all their funds come from the public.

Miller says as an organisation, they encourage adoptions, which cost R700. The animal is vaccinated, sterilised and dewormed before it is handed over to its new family.

Miller says the organisation needs help with office supplies, welding gloves and someone to trim their trees.

“We will also be having our golf day on November 22 at the Pollak Park Golf Club.

“To book your slot and get the tee-off times, contact me on 079 708 9778,” says Miller.
