Woman unharmed after Eastvale house robbery

Suspects gained entry to the house by breaking the rear sliding door open.

A woman was forced to lock herself into her bedroom after suspects broke into her house in Groenberg Street at 3.30am on Wednesday morning.

Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the victim was in the bathroom when a suspect suddenly opened the bathroom door.

He pulled her out, told her to keep quiet and left her in the passage.

As the suspects ran out of the house, the victim ran and locked herself in the bedroom, where she screamed for help through her bedroom window.

Nobody came to her aid and she remained in her room until approximately 7am when she came out and asked for help from neighbours.

After calling for help, she realised her TV and cellphone, valued at approximately R10 000, were missing.

The three suspects wore balaclavas. No arrests have been made.
