Attempted murder case opened after Largo house robbery

The suspect was about 1.7m tall, was wearing a black jacket, black trousers, a blue shirt on and brown shoes.

A woman and her daughter were left unharmed after a house robbery in Largo last Wednesday morning.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the woman was busy in the house when she heard her daughter screaming, telling her that there is a male suspect at the window.

The woman was busy calling for help when she heard a shot being fired.

When she came out of the house she saw her neighbour, who stays on the same premises; he told her the suspect had fired a shot at him before walking away.

It is unknown how the suspect gained entry to the property, how many suspects there were and how they fled the scene.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect used a 9mm pistol and a cartridge was found near the window.

No arrests have been made.
