Woman robbed after withdrawing a large sum from bank

A woman was robbed of R27 000 after being followed from the mall.

The victim says she withdrew R37 000 at one of the banks at Springs Mall on Monday morning.

She says she drove to First Street, next to Springs Hotel, to give her boyfriend keys.

When she stopped she noticed that an unknown white Nissan Hardbody also stopped.

When she gave her boyfriend the keys and made a U-turn the bakkie also U-turned and followed her.

While driving down Tonk Meter Road, she noticed that the bakkie was no longer following her.

She drove to a store to buy building material.

After she parked, she heard a knock on the passenger window and somebody shouting that she must open the door.

She saw an unknown man standing at the driver’s side at the back, with a black pistol.

He ordered her, in Zulu, to give him the money and she gave him some of it.

He grabbed the money, jumped into a silver BMW and drove away.
