14 injured in Welgedacht crash.

A secondary head-on collision was reported 500m up the road where metro police were in attendance.

A family of six were among the 14 injured in a four vehicle collision on Welgedaght Road, Springs.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 8.33am to find three light motor vehicles and a taxi had been involved in the collision.

The Fire Department was in control of the situation and Provincial, as well as two other private services, had already treated and transported seven adult patients to various hospitals, including one in a serious condition.

A family of 6, as well as an adult male were still seated in the taxi and in need of medical attention.

Three children between the ages of one and nine, and four adults between the ages of 26 and 32 were treated for minor injuries and transported to a private hospital for further care.
