Man hijacked in Reedville

They informed the victim who works as a taxi driver that they were going to Tornado section in KwaThema.

A man was hijacked at the intersection of San Salvador and Pilani streets in Reedville last Monday evening, says Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.

The complainant says two suspects got into his car while on San Salvador Street, one in the front seat and one in the back.

They informed the victim who works as a taxi driver that they were going to Tornado in KwaThema.

At the intersection of San Salvador and Pilani streets, the suspect seated in the back pulled out his firearm and the suspect seated in the front passenger seat also produced a firearm.

The pair ordered the victim to drive towards Brakpan and when they got to Springs Road in Brakpan he was told to stop the car and get out.

The suspect at the back got into the driver’s seat and drove towards Carnival City.

The victim was not hurt and no shots was fired.
