The suspects then fled in a silver Mercedes-Benz with no registration number.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says a business on Jan Smuts Avenue in Selection Park was robbed by two suspects on Monday afternoon.

The complainant was in the shop with customers when one suspect, armed with a firearm, entered the shop and ordered everyone to lie down.

The second suspect entered the shop and both demanded money, jewellery and cellphones.

The value of stolen items hasn’t been established. The suspects then fled in a silver Mercedes-Benz with no registration number.

No shots were fired during the robbery.
