Public warned to be vigilant in the CBD

“In the latest case, the victim was robbed of R12 000," says Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.

The Springs police are urging the public to be vigilant when in the CBD.

This comes after a few cases of people being drugged and then robbed were reported.

“The suspects act as though they are bumping into you, and smear a black substance either on you shoulder or hand.

“Thereafter, the victim becomes confused and they are robbed.

“In the latest case, the victim was robbed of R12 000,” says Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.
