Business robbery at local petrol garage

After the suspect left, the complainant pressed the panic button and went out to tell his co-workers what happened.

A petrol garage in Dersley was robbed of R500 earlier this morning, says Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.

The complainant was on duty as a cashier and was serving people through a small window and was alone inside.

A suspect appeared suddenly and pointed his firearm at the cashier, demanding money while threatening to shoot him.

The victim then opened the till and gave him the money, which the suspect took and ran away with.

After the suspect left, the complainant pressed the panic button and went out to tell his co-workers what happened.

The police and CPF responded to the scene.

No shots were fired and there were no injuries reported.
