A security guard was assaulted during a robbery on Market Street last Friday afternoon, says Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.
The victim says she was at work when she was approached by two men, one armed with a firearm, the other with a knife, who demanded money from her.

After she informed them she doesn’t have any, they searched her and took R150 cash, two cellphones and a hand radio.
Before the suspects fled, they hit her with a a gun on her head, but she was not seriously injured.
