Man hijacked by three suspects on Zig Zag Road

The three suspects then drove off in the victim’s bakkie.

 

A man was hijacked at the traffic lights on Zig Zag Road on Sunday evening.

According to Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora, the 27-year-old man was on his way home from the Springs Mall and had stopped at the traffic lights on Zig Zag Road when a suspect approached him with a firearm.

The suspect instructed the man to get out of his bakkie.

While the victim was doing so, another two suspects opened the passenger-side door and climbed into the vehicle.

The three suspects then drove off in the victim’s bakkie.

No shots were fired during the hijacking and no injuries were reported.
