Armed suspects rob Paul Kruger Highway garage

One of the suspects was wearing a balaclava and gloves. He went behind the counter, opened the till and took out approximately R1 500. He also took cigarettes worth R2 500.

 

A garage off the Paul Kruger Highway was robbed by armed suspects last Saturday evening.

CCTV indicated there were four suspects altogether and three of them were carrying firearms.

Two armed suspects entered the shop and demanded that the cashier open the till.

One of the suspects was wearing a balaclava and gloves. He went behind the counter, opened the till and took out approximately R1 500. He also took cigarettes worth R2 500.

The suspects ordered a customer inside the shop to load the cigarettes and two stolen cellphones into a blue Ellesse sports bag.

The suspects then left the premises on foot.

Garage attendants outside were also robbed of R100 by the two suspects waiting outside.

No shots were fired during the robbery and no injuries were reported.
