Suspects cause damage worth R56 000 in Selection Park house robbery

After a period of time, the woman heard someone asking if she was okay and that is when the victim came out of her hiding place.

A woman was robbed while at home in Selection Park on Sunday morning.

The victim was home alone when she heard a car hooting at the gate but by the time she got outside, the car was gone.

After she returned to the house, she heard the main gate opening and saw a white BMW parked on the grass.

The next thing the victim heard was glass breaking and someone banging on the back door.

When she went to investigate, she found two suspects in the house, one of which had a firearm.

The suspect with the firearm took her victim into the bedroom and told her to cover her head with a duvet.

After a period of time, the woman heard someone asking if she was okay and that is when the victim came out of her hiding place.

The suspects gained entry into the house by breaking the security gate out of the wall and the wooden door at the back was forced open.

The suspects stole two TV’s, a laptop and R6 000 in cash.

Total value of goods stolen and damage to the house is approximately R56 000.

Nobody was injured during the course of the robbery.
