•The Friends of the Marivale Nature Reserve will have a stargazing evening at the picnic area in the reserve. The evening will be guided by well-known astronomer Andrew Helstone. On the same day at 4pm, there will be a guided tour by Stan Madden, which will be followed by a bring-and-braai. Fires will be provided at the picnic area. Bring your own chair and lantern. • Hospice East Rand Charity Golf Day to be held at ERPM Golf Club, 85 Pretoria Road, Boksburg West. Tee-off time from 11am. The competition will be a betterball Stableford. The price for a four-ball is R1 800 and dinner and prize-giving. Holes can be sponsored at R1 500, putting green sponsorship costs R2 500, hole 1, 9 and 18 sponsorship is R2 500 each.
