A reader who witnessed this says, “Many Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) vehicles have seen how the vehicles are parked when passing but didn't do anything!”
The Springs Taxi Association (STA) vehicles parked their vehicles on the wrong side of the road on April 24.

The reader wanted to know if the taxi association are allowed to park their cars on the wrong side of the road for hours?
Chairperson of STA, Leonard Molo, says, “It is not the norm.
“There was a situation which needed to be attended to urgently.
“To those who were offended, we truly apologise.”
The EMPD failed to reply in time for publication.
