Burst sewage pipe floods road in Struisbult

According to Dodd, a whole intersection on Plover Road surrounding the pipe becomes like a dam whenever the pipe bursts.

Residents are at their wits end regarding a broken sewage pipe in Struisbult.

Tony Dodd stated that the leakage has been going on for at least a month.

“The pipe was installed approximately seven years ago in Plover Road,” says Dodd.

Dodd says the pipe has been bursting on and off for around nine months.

Contractors come to fix the pipe regularly, but the repair keeps on breaking and the pipe bursts open with sewage gushing out onto the streets.

Dodd says there is no soil around the pipe and therefore nothing to support it, resulting in frequent breakages and leakages.

According to Todd, a whole intersection on Plover Road surrounding the pipe becomes like a dam whenever the pipe bursts.
