The Advertiser responded to a house fire near Parkland hospital on Springs West Road on April 24.
By the time the Advertiser arrived, the flames had been brought under control by Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS).
The inside of the house seemed badly burned and the roof had suffered serious damage.
DEMS spokesperson Eric Maloka says: “City of Ekurhuleni DEMS responded to a fire at a house on Springs West Road.

“Upon their arrival they found the house engulfed in flames and a lot of smoke visibly coming out of the house.
“The fire was effectively contained and they started with ventilation.
“No injuries were reported.
“It was later reported that the house is property of Prasa, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.”
