A cleaner police station
The Springs police officers got their hands dirty on March 1 when they cleaned the police station.
Their yard was uncultivated and they were afraid snakes could be hiding in the foliage, that’s why they decided to take the opportunity to clean up.
The Springs police spokesperson, Capt Johannes Ramphora, says: “This is an ongoing project which will carry on monthly.
“We cannot depend on the government to clean the station for us when we’ve got hands to do it.
“This is setting an example for the community. You don’t need to wait for the government to do something which you can do yourself.”
The police station is being renovated by the Department of Public Works as it had a leakage problem in its 94-year-old building.
