Netcare N17 Hospital hosted a free Pregnancy Awareness Day on Friday.

Unit manager sister Santie Steyn says their main objective is to give expectant mothers as much information as possible about the journey ahead.

“There are so many physical changes that occur at the same time during and after pregnancy.

“Sometimes it is a reality shock.”

She believes the more information the parents have, the better decisions they will make for the baby.
