The topics covered on the day included a talk by Dr Tanyah Ginah Ndou, a specialist paediatrician who answered all the common questions expectant parents have before and after their baby is born.

On the topic of vaccines, Ndou urged parents to vaccinate their children.

“There is no link between vaccines and autism.

“Illnesses like measles and polio are supposed to have been eradicated by now but there is a delay because of those who do not vaccinate.

“Also, parents should know that they get the same quality vaccines at private and public hospitals,” says Ndou.
