Springs police warn pedestrians to be careful of kidnappers

The women were raped repeatedly but managed to free themselves and run away.

Springs Police are warning the public to be careful of talking to strangers.

This came after an incident at the beginning of this month where women were grabbed by four men who initially stopped them to ask for directions.

The suspects drugged the women and held them captive in a house for six days.

The women were raped repeatedly but managed to free themselves and run away.

“The suspects are operating all over Springs, but mostly in the CBD.

“We’re urging women to be more vigilant when walking around,” says Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.
