Enter your proposal to win a wedding
Entries are open for the January proposal of the month competition
If you live in Springs and have gotten engaged in either December 2018 or this month, you can submit your proposal story before the deadline at 4pm on January 31.
To enter you should download the entry for and submit it, together with:
• A photo of the couple together. There should be no one else in the photo. Photos must be sent as JPEG attachments to your email and should be a minimum of 1MB in size.
• A video of the proposal if you have taken one. Videos should be no more than two minutes long.
• Alternatively, send a written account, of not more than 200 words, of the proposal.
• A 150- to 200-word motivation explaining why you should win the grand prize.
Each month, from January 1 to December 31, we will run a proposal of the month competition, inviting anyone who has gotten engaged over the last two months to enter the competition.
Once the monthly competition has closed, each couple’s story, photo and video will be posted online at www.springsadvertiser.co.za/wish-upon-wedding/ and readers will be invited to vote for their favourite proposal or couple.
The winner of each of the 12 monthly competitions will move into the final round in which readers will vote for the best proposal of the year, selecting the grand-prize winners.
The competition is only open to residents of Springs or KwaThema and proof of residence showing your name and address will be requested when claiming prizes.
